This is one of the later tracks I recorded in the spectrum of this album. Just a little bit of pseudo-industrial hip-hop jazz sassiness, I think it's one of my personal faves. And yeah I referenced Jeffrey Epstein, it is definitely a bit of an anti-capitalist statement and a poetic analysis of the current times, as well as a personal analysis. This one takes you on a journey from a grating discomfort to a sense of jazzy ease and reflection, and back to a trance of memory...
lyrics
I had a relapse and I'm writing raps
I'm eating snacks and I might be capped
I'm the reason they invented naps
and I might be wearing a knapsack
back to back, four leaf clover
you're too late, party's over
it's saturday, I'm staying sober,
I'm not about to get pulled over
I'm mulling over false charges
I'm driving ships and they might be barges
my heart made of gold, yeah I'm warm hearted
negativity, discarded
I'm in the garden, I'm gardening
son and daughter, mother fathering
cherry rhubarb apple cobblering
I'm tolerant, seen a lot of things
the things that I've seen mean something to me
I need a lot of protein,
government so byzantine
who killed jeffrey epstein???
I don't have anything mean to say
I'm basically paper mache
thrown into the ocean, Monterey
cast stones barely thrown and I'm running away
trying to hide in a safe place
while we save face, from the arms race
caught in a loving embrace
escaping disgrace, but stuck in displacement
sleeping ancients, in the basement
bleeding angels, caught in pavement
this corporal capital rearrangement
shall awaken from this enslavement...
Whenever Ice and Fanon come together, you can be sure to experience some high-quality introspective hip-hop. The beats are so smooth under Ice's esoteric lyricism. blessedassistant
this bay area trio has been killin it in terms of a classic yet fresh hip-hop sound for YEARS. This album has a pandemic flavor to it. blessedassistant
