about

This was my first time collaborating with my friend Alex from college, who's been doing great underground hip-hop for a while. For this song, I simply wanted to embody churning darkness, like being caught in purgatory and then just releasing resistance. I felt odd about this track for a while, I've never really done vocals like that and to be honest I don't even remember all of the words, I was kind of trying to channel my inner trickster demon. So it's a vibe and I just came to a personal acceptance that I made something that sounds just different. Kinda like an asthma attack tbh.

lyrics

grasping 'fore a grasping attachment gets past me
crashing 'fore the crashing car * gets past the tree
I'm ashly, I'm barely breathing and there's ashes
on the kneecaps and the seed saps
well there's cash where there's ashes
can't blame the crashes dastardly
you raptured me raptured, enraptured
enraptured by the rapping
christmas wrapping under the trees
hanging pampered memories
nothing but the nose grows where it goes
and I can't pick my nose in the middle of these flows
barely past the ice breaker, past the icerberg
and I think i'm gonna take 'er
taking on seas, seven seas, i'm just wondering
do you have the knees to believe the bees
can I please be your best friend?
can a bees be your best friend?

every day
send my way
